Side Angle Pose & Half Moon Pose

Side Angle Pose

  1. Start with your feet wide apart, forming a strong base.
  2. Place a stick over your right shoulder, resting it comfortably.
  3. Bend your right knee, turning your right foot outward and your left foot inward. Make sure your right knee is over your right ankle.
  4. Gently try to lower the right end of the stick to the ground.
  5. Turn your neck to look over your right shoulder, holding the side angle pose.
  6. Stay in this position and breathe.

Half Moon Pose

  1. From the side angle position, shift your weight onto your right leg.
  2. Extend the stick a trunk's length away from your right foot on the ground.
  3. Lift your left leg into the air to find balance.
  4. Stay for five breaths, looking over your left shoulder or straight ahead.
  5. Inhale as you return to the center, and exhale to release.
  6. Repeat the sequence on the left side.
